Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how BESTONLINESERVICES INTERNATIONAL - FZCO ("Bestrust", "we", "us", "our") — a free zone company incorporated in the IFZA Free Zone, Dubai, United Arab Emirates (License No. 88529, Registration No. 81770), registered office at IFZA Business Park, DDP, PO Box 342001, Dubai, United Arab Emirates — collects, uses and protects personal data when you use:

• the website bestrustservers.com (the "Website"),
• the Bestrust Rust game servers (the "Servers"),
• our store at store.bestrustservers.com (the "Store"),
• our account linking service at link.bestrustservers.com (the "Linking Service"), and
• our community Discord server (together, the "Services").

We are the data controller for the processing described in this Policy. For privacy matters, contact privacy@bestrustservers.com.

1. Data we collect

1.1 Website (bestrustservers.com)

• No account, no tracking cookies. The Website requires no registration, sets no advertising or tracking cookies, and uses no third-party analytics.
• Local preferences: favourite servers and language choice are stored only in your browser (localStorage) and are never transmitted to us.
• Technical logs: our infrastructure provider, Cloudflare, processes standard technical data (IP address, browser type, requested pages) to deliver and protect the site. See the Cloudflare Privacy Policy.
• Fonts: the Website loads fonts from Google Fonts, which involves your browser sending your IP address to Google. See the Google Privacy Policy.

1.2 Game servers

When you play on the Servers, we process:

• your Steam ID, Steam display name and avatar;
• your IP address and connection metadata (join/leave times, ping, client information);
• gameplay data (position, actions, inventory, building, combat statistics, team/clan affiliations);
• chat messages and reports; and
• moderation records (warnings, kicks, bans, ban reasons, anti-cheat flags, VAC/game ban status).

Public information: play on our public Servers is inherently public — your in-game name, avatar, chat messages and gameplay are visible to other players and may be recorded or streamed by them outside our control. Please do not share private information in usernames, chat or voice.

1.3 Linking Service (link.bestrustservers.com)

If you choose to link your accounts, we collect and store:

• Steam: your SteamID64, display name and avatar (via Steam sign-in and the Steam Web API), and Steam group membership status;
• Discord: your Discord user ID, username, avatar and — with the OAuth scopes you approve — your Discord e-mail address, the list of Discord servers you are a member of, and status flags such as server boosting or server-tag usage. OAuth tokens are stored so we can keep this data up to date;
• IP address and time of each sign-in, kept for security and anti-abuse purposes;
• promotional verifications (e.g. whether you used our RustMagic affiliate code — verified by sending your Steam ID to RustMagic — or completed other promotional actions);
• newsletter preference, if you opt in to e-mail updates (you can withdraw at any time via the unsubscribe link or by contacting us).

The Linking Service uses only strictly necessary cookies: a session cookie (7 days) and short-lived security (CSRF) cookies for the Steam/Discord sign-in flow. No consent banner is required for these, and no tracking cookies are set.

1.4 Store purchases

Checkout is operated by PayNow Services, Inc. as merchant of record. PayNow collects and processes your payment data under its own Privacy Policy; we never receive or store full payment card details. To deliver your purchase and provide support, we receive from PayNow your name, e-mail address, Steam ID / in-game identifiers and transaction details.

1.5 Discord community and support

When you participate in our Discord server or contact support, we process your Discord identity, messages, tickets and any information you share with us. We do not receive your Discord password and do not access private direct messages that are not sent to a Bestrust-operated bot, ticket system or staff account; messages sent directly to staff may be retained or shared internally where reasonably necessary to handle the matter or preserve evidence.

1.6 Events and giveaways

If you enter an event, competition or giveaway, we process your participant identifiers and submissions, engagement and ranking data, and anti-manipulation signals. If you win a prize, we may additionally request your name, payment details and identity or tax information where this is legally necessary to pay the prize; access to this information is limited to those who require it. Usernames and results may be published. Event-specific rules may describe additional processing.

2. How and why we use data

• Operating the Services — running the Servers, delivering purchases, granting linked-account perks and roles, providing support (legal basis: performance of a contract / our terms).
• Security, anti-cheat and fair play — detecting and preventing cheating, ban evasion, multi-accounting and fraud (legal basis: our legitimate interest in protecting the integrity of the Services).
• Community rewards, events and promotions — verifying eligibility for perks, running events and paying prizes (legal basis: performance of a contract; legal obligation for tax/identity records; consent where required).
• Newsletter — only if you opt in (legal basis: consent, withdrawable at any time).
• Legal compliance — record-keeping, responding to lawful requests (legal basis: legal obligation).

3. Anti-cheat screening

To protect our Servers we analyse linked account data and related metadata to assess the risk of cheating, fraud and ban evasion. Enforcement actions — including temporary or permanent bans and removal of perks — may in some cases be applied automatically on the basis of these risk signals, where this is necessary to protect the integrity of the Services and enforce our Terms. You have the right to contest any enforcement decision, express your point of view and obtain human review: appeals can be submitted through our Discord support and are reviewed by our moderation staff.

4. Who we share data with

We do not sell personal data. We share data only with:

• Payment platform: PayNow Services, Inc. (merchant of record for the Store) — privacy policy;
• Platform providers: Valve/Steam (Steam Web API, sign-in) and Discord (OAuth, bot, roles, community) — Steam, Discord;
• Server management and moderation tools: BattleMetrics (server monitoring, player and ban management — privacy policy) and RustAdmin (remote administration);
• Infrastructure and hosting providers that host our websites, services and game servers: Cloudflare, Hetzner, OVHcloud, Tempest, VibeGames, GMC and other equivalent hosting partners, acting as processors on our behalf;
• Promotional partners: RustMagic — only your Steam ID, and only to verify affiliate-code eligibility if you request that perk;
• Authorities, where required by applicable law or to protect our legal rights.

5. International transfers

We are based in the United Arab Emirates and our providers operate globally (including in the EU, UK and US), so your data may be processed outside your country of residence. Where required (for example for EU/EEA or UK users), we rely on appropriate safeguards such as processors' standard contractual clauses and equivalent mechanisms offered by our providers.

6. Data retention

• Linking Service sessions: deleted automatically after 7 days.
• Linked account data: kept while your link is active; deleted on verified request (see Section 7).
• Sign-in IP logs and connection logs: kept only as long as needed for security and anti-abuse purposes.
• Moderation and ban records: kept as long as necessary to enforce bans and prevent ban evasion.
• Transaction records: kept as required for accounting and legal obligations.
• Website: we keep no visitor database; Cloudflare technical logs are retained per Cloudflare's own schedule.

7. Your rights

Depending on your location (including under the EU/UK GDPR and the UAE Personal Data Protection Law), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your personal data, to object to or restrict processing, to withdraw consent, and to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

To exercise any of these rights — including unlinking your accounts and deleting your Linking Service data — e-mail privacy@bestrustservers.com from an address you can verify, or open a ticket on our Discord. We will respond within 30 days. Note that we may retain minimal ban-related records where necessary to enforce sanctions, and payment data requests may need to be directed to PayNow as an independent controller.

8. Children

The Services are not directed at children under 13 (or the higher applicable minimum age for Steam and Discord in your country), and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect data, including encrypted connections (TLS), access controls, and restricting access to personal data to authorised staff. No system is completely secure; if we become aware of a breach affecting your data, we will notify you and the competent authorities where required by law.

10. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. The date at the top shows the latest revision; material changes will be announced on our Discord. Continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
