Rust Forced Wipe
First Thursday of every month — all servers, map + blueprints.
What is a forced wipe?
Once a month, Facepunch releases the monthly Rust update on the first Thursday of the month. The update changes the game's world generation, so every Rust server — official and community alike — must wipe its map when it goes live. This is called the forced wipe, and it's the one wipe nobody can skip.
When exactly is it on Bestrust?
On forced wipe day, every Bestrust server full-wipes at 19:45 CET/CEST (EU time). A full wipe means both the map and blueprints are reset — everyone starts completely fresh: new map, no learned blueprints, empty inventories.
Each server's regular weekly or biweekly wipe schedule continues as normal for the rest of the month — you can always see the next wipe of every server in our server browser.
What gets wiped?
- Map: a brand-new map is generated — all bases, loot and deployables are gone.
- Blueprints: on forced wipe, blueprints are reset on all Bestrust servers.

Does the forced wipe reset blueprints?
Facepunch only forces the map wipe — resetting blueprints is each server’s own decision. On Bestrust, forced wipe day is always a full wipe: map and blueprints are reset on every server.
How often does Rust force wipe?

Why is there a forced wipe in Rust?
The monthly Rust update changes the game’s world generation. Existing maps are incompatible with the new version, so every server has to generate a fresh map when the update goes live.
